Slight Carnival delay

Everything is in place, but I'm still waiting on... a certain someone to send me something to top it off. I would really like to have it up, but I will put the entry up this afternoon either way.

I swear I have some kind of selective memory impairment when it comes to CoG. I'm lucky if I can remember to submit something every third carnival. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Have you guys read this comments section of yours? The last two are really a hoot, IMHO.

Franc, do you even read what gets posted here? Or, do you just allow illogical posts? Maybe you don't even know logic (like you also don't know jack about transcendental arguments)? That would make sense, considering your "codifying post."

Anyway, you guys are embarrassing atheism.... and that is proof of miracles! (Think about that and you'll get it).

Paul: "Franc, do you even read what gets posted here? Or, do you just allow illogical posts?"

Perhaps Franc has a logically sufficient reason to allow the illogical posts that happen.

Bahnsen Burner, are you going to chide Zach? No? You claim to about the *truth* and *reason* first and foremost. So why let your fellow church members slide? Oh, that's right, you didn't get it either. And, you don't care about truth and reason, now do you?

Anyway, I never said there was a *contradiction* going on here. And if Franc has a logical reason to allow illogical posts, then the better for me, huh? I guess he's just helping our cause.

And, why is it that you cannot just admit that your buddy was wrong? Why try to turn the attention away from the blunders that appear, repeatedly, on this blog (and yours)? What are you afraid of, Dawson?

Paul, I read your response. You really seem upset about something. Are you eternally disturbed, just as your god is eternally miserable? Why so touchy?

Paul-

If I'm wrong, show that I'm wrong. You're still doing nothing but sniping and complaining. Which is it- is X dependent on Y or is Y dependent on X? Show me the logic book that lets you construct a syllogism that way.

Dawson- Not upset at all. Why? Are you upset that your Randist buddy allows illogical posts, and approves them! I thought you were a "man" and I thought you "think with you own mind?" Why the party sprit? Why the group-think mentality?

Zach: Lol.

It actually takes quite a bit to get me upset, Paul. You've never come close - entertainers typically do not upset me.

Paul: "I thought you were a 'man'"

I am.

Paul: "and I thought you 'think with you own mind'?"

I do.

Paul: "Why the party sprit? Why the group-think mentality?"

I really don't know what you're talking about. Could you spell out what you're trying to say? Or, are you not expecting a real dialogue?

Zach: "Show me the logic book that lets you construct a syllogism that way."

Good suggestion. I'd like to see this also.

BB- Look at the above link, Dawson, for Zach's suggestion fulfilled. Btw, his "suggestion" was like someone asking to prove their assertion that when adding 1 + 1 you get 2, not 3.

Dawson, group think because you're not about truth here, you're about saving reputations. You don't care about "the truth." You don't really care about "good reasoning." You just care when you think Christians violate it, but if an atheist does, well; so much the worse for truth and good reasoning, they take the hindmost.

Anyway, I'm not upset and most people know you have no desire to "dialogue." You constantly misrepresent people and their arguments, as my "self-appointed" series has been showing. So, go try and beguile someone else, Zach perhaps. He seems like the type to get beguiled pretty easily.

"Dawson, group think because you're not about truth here, you're about saving reputations."

Whose reputation, mine? Oh, please. As if I had a reputation to save, or even cared about it. Once again we're treated to a classic case of Manata Projection.

"So, go try and beguile someone else, Zach perhaps. He seems like the type to get beguiled pretty easily."

Well, I did swallow the tripe of Christianity for twenty-odd years, so you may have a point...

Zach: "Once again we're treated to a classic case of Manata Projection."

Indeed. And Paul says that I am "not about truth." Again, more projection, since his worldview is not about either truth or knowledge - it's about belief. Specifically, belief premised on ignorance and fear. Fear is the biblical worldview's starting point (Pr. 1:7) and the believer is not to lean on his own understanding (Pr. 3:5). He is to say "amen" to whatever his leadership tells him to believe. That's what Christianity is about. Truth has nothing to do with it.

Paul seems to be concerned very much with his own reputation. Watch as he tries to impress his new cronies over at Triablogue. He must think he's graduated to the "big time" now. But it's just more of the same, just in bigger doses. Water finds its own level.
